How to color Chemex (with suggested palette)
Colors that work well together — tap any swatch to copy its hex.
Start with the lower carafe body, the largest open area, then move to the upper funnel and the folded filter inside. Color the wooden collar and handle next, saving the fine wood grain texture for last. Finish with the small cup in the foreground. Tap any color below to copy its HEX code.
Additional Coloring Tips
1Wood grain texture
Use short parallel strokes in a medium brown for the collar's texture, then add a slightly darker shade over them to suggest depth.
2Glass carafe
The glass body looks best in a very pale color, like light aqua or soft gray, so it reads as transparent rather than opaque.
3Folded filter
Color the filter panels in slightly different shades of cream to suggest the way folded paper catches light differently on each facet.
