Put Bear and the picnic basket down first, then lay a light wash of blue across the whole river before anything sits on top of it. Add the lily pads, fish and stones next, and save the reeds, pine trees and hills for the end. Tap any color below to copy its HEX code.

Additional Coloring Tips

1Water ripples

Keep the river pale and only darken the short curved lines, so the ripples stay visible under the color.

2Pine trees

Use two greens, the darker one on the near trees and the lighter on the far row, to push back the distance.

3Cattails

Color the seed heads a warm brown with a sharpened pencil, then leave the stems a paler green.
