One large macaron sits at the center of the page, but every part of it is divided into stained-glass panels. The top and bottom shells are filled with symmetrical diamonds, petals, arcs, and small circles, and the filling band in the middle carries a wave pattern. Behind the cookie, a ring of long pointed petals fans out like a sunburst, each one divided into its own panels.

Stained-glass coloring pages work by treating the black lines as leading, with each panel taking a flat block of color. This is the boldest sheet in our macaron coloring pages, and the one that looks best held up to a window when it is finished. The mandala uses a similar circular symmetry.

We rate this page as detailed and good for ages 11 and up, or adult colorists. Plan for about an hour and a half, or split it across two sessions. Markers give the flattest, most glass-like fills, though pencils work if you keep the pressure even. Match panels across the symmetry as you go.
