Colors that work well together — tap any swatch to copy its hex.
Start with the lion's body and face in a broad coat of tawny gold. Then move to the mane, working strand by strand from the top of the head downward. Finish with the tail tuft and the small paw toe details at the very end. Tap any color below to copy its HEX code.
Additional Coloring Tips
1Mane strands
Lay a lighter honey base first, then draw darker amber lines along the length of each strand to suggest fur direction.
2Mane-body transition
Use a slightly darker, warmer tone where the mane meets the chest to suggest the shadow the mane casts on the body below.
3Tail tuft
A few curved strokes in honey and amber give the tuft the same texture as the mane without overworking a small area.
