Additional Coloring Tips

1Flower lei

Alternate pink and pale yellow flowers along the lei so no two adjacent blooms are the same color, giving the garland a cheerful, varied look.

2Surfboard grain

Use a warm wood base and draw thin bamboo-tan lines along the grain with a fine-tip marker to suggest the texture of wooden planks.

3Paintbrush tip

Color the bristles a deep reddish-brown and add a tiny smear of a bright color at the very tip to suggest wet paint about to drip.
