How to color Cacao Tree and Cocoa Beans (with suggested palette)
Colors that work well together — tap any swatch to copy its hex.
Start with the leaves, shading along the veins from the center outward so each one has depth. Then color the hanging pods, varying the ripeness between them. Do the branch, then finish with the split pod, the sack, and the loose beans. Tap any color below to copy its HEX code.
Additional Coloring Tips
1Leaf veins
Darken along each vein and leave the space between lighter so the leaf looks ribbed, not flat.
2Pod ridges
Shade one side of every ridge in a deeper tone and the pod turns properly three-dimensional.
3Burlap sack
Fill the sack in tan first, then go over the woven cross pattern with a sharp darker pencil.
