How to color Three Crosses on a Hill (with suggested palette)

Colors that work well together — tap any swatch to copy its hex.

Start with the five wide beams so the background light is laid down first, then fill the narrow rays between them. Color the hill next, and finish with the three crosses on top. Doing the crosses last keeps their edges clean against everything behind. Tap any color below to copy its HEX code.

Additional Coloring Tips

1Light beams

Press harder near the crosses and lighten toward the outer tip so the light looks like it is spreading.

2Middle cross

Shade one side of the upright darker than the other so the tallest cross looks solid and rounded.

3Hill

Darken the green along the very bottom edge, that one band gives the hill some weight under the crosses.
