The cake is drawn flat, cut straight down so you see every layer at once. Eight piped swirls run along the top edge like a row of soft peaks. Below them the bands stack up in order: small squares, overlapping scallops, a row of triangles, short dashes, small dots, a zigzag stripe, rolling waves, and finally two rows of circles at the base.
