How to color Queen Bee Wearing a Crown (with suggested palette)
Colors that work well together — tap any swatch to copy its hex.
Start with the body: the thorax, then each ribbed band down to the tip. Move out to the four wings, keeping them lighter than the body. Do the crown next, and finish with the honeycomb row along the bottom. Tap any color below to copy its HEX code.
Additional Coloring Tips
1Wing veins
Color each wing pale first, then trace the vein lines with a fine gray pencil so they stay visible.
2Crown
Use a deeper gold on the crown than on the body so it reads as metal rather than more bee.
3Honeycomb row
Leave two or three cells uncolored across the row, the gaps give the strip a bit of rhythm.
